man this must really tee off Bill Gates. It must suck to work in a draconian type of place like MSFT where you feel that if you don't do everything the WIN way you will be looked at. I would freak. I go out of my way to use as little as MSFT as possible. Treo for my smart phone. iPod for MP3. All macs at home.

Too funny Bill. You can try all you want. iPod, iTunes and the iPod ecosystem are way beyond your reach now. I love it.

Note to MSFT employees. Just buy a better set of headphones. No biggie.

This guy is pretty cool. I knew him back when Craig's List first got going. He would be at some of the Java meetings and just a man around town in SF when it came to the web and internet gatherings. It is amazing for me to see what he has built - pretty impressive.

I hope, and I bet, he is paying himself pretty well. Which is probably better than cashing out since he is doing what he wants, is changing the world and people appreciate the help.

Java One

Wow. Java One is here and I am not going. This is a first since I have been to every one since the day they got started. Usually, even if I am not an avid attendee, I am at least in town joining all the right parties, ignoring the bad ones and running into a bunch of people I never get to see. Not this year. I live and work in Hong Kong and I was not a part of the "in" BEA crowd. At first I thought I would not miss it but now I feel like I will be for sure. Oh well.

Funny how I even thought about this. I was reading the stats for my famous blogger and noticed a link from Sam.

Then I followed a link to this page, after putting in some well timed comments, and realized that sure enough I am missing out on a good party.

I suck.
